Industry event will hear how accountants can better serve mid-market clients

Many accountants have not been able to serve medium-sized clients as well as they would like because of a lack of affordable finance software, a leading industry event will hear. 

iplicit will host a discussion of the issue featuring senior figures from leading accountancy firms at the Alternative Accountancy Management Summit, taking place on March 4-5.  

Among the guests will be Nicola Savill, Director of Outsourcing at Moore Kingston Smith and Digital Lead for Moore UK, one of Britain’s top dozen practices.

The problem was a severe lack of affordable finance software suitable for organisations which had outgrown entry-level cloud systems like Xero and QuickBooks.  

“Those clients were mainly left to struggle on with the products they had, unless they were prepared to accept the extra expense and disruption of moving to one of the larger ERP systems.

“In our session at the Alternative Accountancy Management Summit, leaders from Top 30 accountancy firms will give practical insights on how best to serve those mid-market organisations with the aid of affordable finance software.”

Among the topics covered will be:

• What happens when entry-level finance software is no longer able to provide the financial information that clients need;
• The challenges of servicing large UK and international groups
• How to service multi-entity and multi-currency global organisations efficiently.

iplicit's event will be a Technology Focus showcase presentation as part of the Alternative Accountancy Management Summit’s Strategic IT Day on Tuesday, March 5.

The summit, taking place at Wyboston Lakes Resort in Bedfordshire, brings together partners, managing directors and chief executives from the UK’s top 300 accountancy practices. Its hand-picked audience is made up of people who influence strategic growth in their business and make investment decisions.
